A vibrant city empowers all of its residents and workers, regardless of gender.  If we are to remain economically competitive and desirable place to raise a family and retire, Atlanta must promote gender equity and empower Atlanta’s girls and women.

Amir's Solutions

Amir Farokhi will call on the next Mayor to maintain support for the Atlanta Women's Agenda and push for its expansion through:

• establishing a permanent Commission on Women's Issues.
• continuing to focus on eliminating child prostitution and trafficking in Atlanta.
• partnering with local agencies and non-profits to create a professional leadership and mentorship program for women in Atlanta.
• collaborating with public health providers to educate the women of Atlanta about health risks and preventative health care and empowering each woman to take control of her health and take advantage of Atlanta's health care resources.
