Atlanta’s long-term success will depend on whether we make it possible to live and work in the city without a car.  Great, livable cities do not rely on the car alone to move people around.  Our transportation network affects our economy, the strength of our neighborhoods, our public health, safety and livability. We can transform how we move around Atlanta by promoting transit-oriented development, making transportation on the Beltline a reality, and developing a comprehensive bicycle and sidewalk plan.

Amir's Solutions

Amir Farokhi will:

• call on the City to aggressively implement a comprehensive bicycle and sidewalk plan.
• work to create a dedicated line item for funding sidewalk maintenance and construction.
• promote zoning that rewards development near existing MARTA stations.
• work with MARTA to improve the reliability and ease of use of MARTA's bus routes.
